RECEPTION TRAINING

TRAINING THE RECEPTION ON SHORT SERVE

The Short Serve is used for tactical reasons, with the objective to disturb the central player run-up or to create problems to the receiver-attackers.
With Winshot placed on the back line of the court it is possible to fire short and precise balls to train the team to confront such particular serves.

TRAINING THE RECEPTION ON FLOAT SERVE

A floating serve has an effect which is not easy to reproduce during training.
Winshot, thanks to its accurate and specific speed wheel control, can fire floating effect balls with accuracy and repeatability without errant hits.

Close Up Float Serve

This serve is done from the serving baseline, often with a straight trajectory, and with the objective to give to the ball a floating effect putting the receiver in difficulty, reducing the reaction time and making difficult to evaluate the ball landing point.

Far Back Float serve

Very often used in the women games this serve has most of the characteristics of the close up float serve but the ball is fired at higher speed, making it more difficult to control the bouncing, the player shoots the ball from 4/5 meters behind the serving baseline. Sometimes the ball can have very high trajectories.

Jump Float Serve

This type of serve reduces even more the reaction time of the receiver, as the ball is often fired from within the field and from a higher position. Furthermore, it allows the server to hide longer the ball trajectory.

TRAINING THE RECEPTION ON JUMP SERVE

Winshot trains very efficiently and with accuracy the reception on Jump serves.

Winshot allows training very efficiently and with accuracy the reception on Jump serves.
The adjustment system can in fact perfectly simulate the two types of Jump serves most used by champions:

Jump Serves With Spin

Jump serve with spin is the most used in the men’s game, where the run-up is long and where the objective is to shoot with great strength. The ball passes very near the net and often land deep in the opponent court. Often the trajectory is stable although differences can exist if the server is a right-handed or left handed.

Strong Jump Serves

A new group of server exclusively pursuits strength in their service, with maximum speed reaching 135km/h.
At such speed, the trajectory tends to float and the ball is often not spinning. A striking characteristic is that such serves must be fired from very high: 3,0 to 3,4 meters!
With an assistant such as Winshot, no more errant hits or shoulder strains.

The Short Serve

The Short Serve is used for tactical reasons, with the objective to disturb the central player run-up or to create problems to the receiver-attackers.
With Winshot placed on the back line of the court it is possible to fire short and precise balls to train the team to confront such particular serves.
Winshot is able to generate on the ball the same effects observed during a game, simulating the different type of serves.

DEFENCE TRAINING

TRAINING THE DEFENCE ON 1° ROW ATTACK

First line attacks can be simulated with high repeatability to train ball control.
The trainer will be free to adjust techniques, to anticipate the ball and to correct the players positioning, teaching them to absorb the techniques.
Furthermore Winshot can be used to simulate effects created by specific players for example with the same effect of left hand players or effects from especially gifted players.
Winshot is supplied with cast wheels allowing an easy movement: it can be moved from back to front of the court with extreme facility.

TRAINING THE DEFENCE ON 2° ROW ATTACK

With Winshot, second row attacks are simulated with great accuracy recreating real game situation such as:

– defence and counter attack on pipe attack;
– second line attacks from position 1 with specific trajectories.
These attack variants allow the athletes to acquire a better defence strategy according to the characteristics of the opponents.

FORWARD SET TRAINING

WINSHOT: FLOAT EFFECT and SPIN EFFECT

FLOAT EFFECT

Winshot trains the digging technique, from any type of serves, thanks to the possibility to fire balls without spinning effects.
When the spinning of the throwing head 2 wheels is the same, then the ball is fired without rotation effect. The snug shape of the special rubber guarantees a large contact surface during firing and the maximum control of the desired effect.

With Winshot all the serves will be characterized by a floating effect while the trajectories could have various undulatory effects according to the pressure valve position and the air density above the court.

SPIN EFFECT

Winshot is able to give to the ball the desired spinning effect with an adjustment that gives different speed rotation to the wheel of the throwing head.

Winshot can fire the ball at speed equal or greater than 130km/h, equalling the power of the best service player in the world.

SPEED UP TO 90 Mph

Large range of serve speed: simple serves can be done for beginners and high speed serves, faster than most of the best servers now around.
For example, the serve speed of players such as Omrcen, Kazynsky e Marshall can seldom reach 130 km/h while Winshot can fire a ball up to 90 mph (140 Km/h) with a higher repeatability.

Winshot allows the trainer to replicate all the possible trajectories to manage all training needs.

SERVE AND ATTACK PRECISION

Thanks to its aiming system, Winshot is able to effectuate a high number of serves into the same court area, with a success rate to reach a square meter target above 90%.
This accuracy helps beginners to improve their technical movement and the professionals to train, simulating in a repetitive mode, the specific actions of opponent players.
(Important note: the volleyball pressure greatly influences the serve quality; check that the pressure is as specified by volleyball rules, between 0,30 and 0,325 Kg/cm2)

MAX UNPREDICTABILITY

One of the most interesting potential of Winshot resides in the capacity to simulate casual serves sequences to put even the best receiver in difficulty.
The training becomes, in this way, very motivating as it helps recreating real game situation, training reactivity, reflex and adaptation capability.
The trajectory range can vary up to 3 meters per side without moving the machine.
This solution was applied upon the request received from national team trainers.
