Shockwaves:
repair-stimulating impulses

What are shockwaves?
Shockwaves are high-energy acoustic impulses that propagate radially through biological tissues. They are characterized by a rapid pressure peak followed by a decompression phase, capable of stimulating local biomechanical and biological responses, promoting the activation of metabolic and regenerative processes within the treated tissues.
When are shockwaves used?

Main fields of application

Radial shockwave therapy is widely used in small animal veterinary medicine as a non-invasive therapeutic support for the treatment of the main musculoskeletal disorders.
1/3
Tendon and muscle disorders

Radial shockwaves are particularly indicated for the treatment of tendinopathies, promoting the stimulation of regenerative processes and improving tissue function.

The mechanical action of shockwaves also contributes to pain reduction and functional recovery in myofascial disorders.

2/3
Degenerative joint diseases

Radial shockwave therapy represents a valuable support in the management of degenerative joint diseases, such as osteoarthritis of the hip, elbow, and distal limb joints. The application of shockwaves promotes improved local circulation and helps reduce pain-related symptoms.

3/3
Lameness and functional alterations

In cases of forelimb or hindlimb lameness of musculoskeletal origin, shockwave therapy can be integrated into therapeutic protocols to support functional recovery. This approach is particularly useful when pain and stiffness limit movement.
